Youth in Care

This Youth In Care section was created with the hopes that it would assist youth with Crown Ward status in the regions of Nipissing, Parry Sound, and Muskoka as they transition to independent living. A Crown Ward is a child or youth who through virtue of a court order has been made the legal responsibility of a Children’s Aid Society. In such a case, the Society will act as the legal guardian and provide services and resources as outlined in the Child and Family Services Act 1990.

The Youth In Care portion of Click For Success came to fruition as a result of the Crown Ward Education Championship Team of Nipissing, Parry Sound and Muskoka, which is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, with their initiatives also supported by the Ministry of Child and Youth Services, and the Ministry of Education.
